The TDI Instructor courses we can offer are the same as the diver levels that we teach. This means in the TDI system going from TDI Nitrox Instructor, the Advanced Nitrox level, up through Extended Range, and various Instructor specialties like Nitrox Gas Blender & Technical DPV.
Several different scenarios exist when it comes to Tec Instructor Training, with examples being:
Generally, once you have become an instructor at some basic tec entry level, an agency will require you to teach a number of students at that level before being eligible to enroll in the next level of Instructor training, and usually, to be certified as a diver at a higher level than you intend to teach.
However, given so many different possibilities, the prerequisites, experience requirements, and equivalencies recognized are highly variable and are best discussed on a case-by-case basis with our TDI Instructor Trainer Marc Kouwenberg.
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor Course qualifies Nitrox Instructors to teach the use of enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures Instructor course, this can be considered the first step to beginning your technical diving teaching career.
